Camden Gooding had the hot hand on Wednesday, tallying four hits and leading Lapel Bulldogs JV to a 13-7 victory over Frankton. Gooding singled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fifth.
Lapel Bulldogs JV earned the victory despite allowing Frankton to score five runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Frankton was led by Buck, Trissel, Scott, Dearing, and Spillman, all knocking in runs in the inning.
In the first inning, Lapel Bulldogs JV got their offense started when Gooding singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Kyle Shelton earned the victory on the hill for Lapel Bulldogs JV. He went four and a third innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out six. Max Kern threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Thomas took the loss for Frankton. He lasted one-third of an inning, allowing one hit and three runs while striking out one and walking one.
