The Lady Bulldogs were one of the lucky few in the state who were able to play tennis on Saturday as the Madison-Grant Invite was moved to Greentown, to the Howard County Tennis Center. We kicked off the tournament at 8AM against a solid Lewis Cass team. Lapel came away victorious behind singles wins from Bailey Baxter and Megan Sundheimer and doubles wins from Emily Eppert and Zoe Freer as well as Makayla McDole and Mariah Mason.
In round two, the Bulldogs faced off against a strong Madison-Grant team. The Lady Argylls took the first point at 2 singles. The Argylls took the next two points in heartbreaking fashion, winning two super tiebreakers to clinch the match win at 1 singles and 1 doubles. Lapel was able to get on the board, getting a point at 3 singles from Megan Sundheimer as she won 7-5,6-2. The 2 doubles of Makayla McDole and Mariah mason lost another heartbreaker, losing 10-5 in the third set super tiebreaker.
