Despite allowing four runs in the first inning, Lapel Bulldogs JV defeated Eastern Hancock 14-5 on Tuesday. Eastern Hancock offense in the inning was led by Dishman and Craney, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
In the first inning, Eastern Hancock got their offense started when Dishman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the second inning, Lapel Bulldogs JV tied things up at five when Noah Clark doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Lapel Bulldogs JV pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored two runs for Lapel Bulldogs JV, Clayton McMillan drew a walk, scoring one run, and Kyle Shelton drew a walk, scoring one run.
Lapel Bulldogs JV notched four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Lapel Bulldogs JV was led by Hayden Leclerc, Camden Gooding, and Paden Hudson, who all drove in runs.
Logan Gephardt got the start for Lapel Bulldogs JV. He surrendered five runs on three hits over two innings, striking out two.
Hedrick was on the hill for Eastern Hancock. He allowed seven hits and nine runs over two and a third innings. Harmon and Dishman entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.
