Lapel Bulldogs Varsity took the lead late and defeated Frankton 13-3 on Friday. The game was tied at three with Lapel Bulldogs Varsity batting in the bottom of the fourth when Owen Imel doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Lapel Bulldogs Varsity secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by Lapel Bulldogs Varsity was led by Brock Harper, Camden Gooding, Noah Clark, Parker Allman, Imel, and Harper, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Lapel Bulldogs Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Allman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Frankton knotted the game up at three in the top of the third inning. Mccorkle hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

Paden Hudson earned the win for Lapel Bulldogs Varsity. The righty lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while walking one.

Webb took the loss for Frankton. The pitcher allowed nine hits and seven runs over three and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero.
